Coalition talks and future concepts

August 16th 2017

On 9th of August 2017 there was an event to the parlamentary vote in Frankfurt/Main, my residence. Today I don‘t know exactly what party I should vote because I see a lot of questions relating to the automatisation process of the next decades. I don‘t know how the politics will manage the way the offer will find the demand, means how we get the products we want and need. The theme of the event was „fairness is another way“ so I thought to find answers.

I was a little late. The event was not at the arranged location so I went to a nice restaurant where the politics met. As I arrived I recognized that I was the only visitor. I was a little astonished. The group begged me to invite myself. I did and asked them, how they want to deal the issue of employment after automatisation like 3D printer, selfdriving cars, robotics and speech recognizing systems have been developed and installed in industrie. All those products will work in sectors with high numbers of workforce. I see a high unemployment rate because this systems will free a lot of jobs. And I don‘t think that all those poeple will find work in the service sector.

Mr Bothner, Verdi Hessen, gave me the answer. He described that there will be many poeple who will find a high waged job. We have much more millionaires in Germany than several years ago. Those people have to staff their household with butlers, nannies, family care workers ec. Today in Germany’s middle class families it is not use to staff the household with such employees. I don‘t know many middle class families which do that. To convince the new working class to employ such services, there has to be a revaluation of these professions. The money makers have to employ them to hold their gentility. Simultanely the employees in the industry will work less time because the machines will do more and more the work for them. So they have time to improve their skills. Some good earning umployees, working less time and a lot of pauper working a lot of time to ensure that the less time working, good earning employees have no inconvenience in their free time.

I reply this we discussed that concept in the 1980s and we denied it as an impossibility. I was astonished hearing this concept from a functionary of the biggest German union Verdi. But I was on an event of the SPD, a political partie, a decision maker in the Germany politics, so I asked the members of the SPD about the theme. The answer I got was that there are many commonalities so there will be no remarkable changes, nothing more.

Less working workforce earns much money and much working workforce earning less money, it looks better for conservative parties like the CDU and not the SPD, a mid left partie of Germany. Could this be true?

I know that there is a pilot project unemployed get 1000,00€ basic income guarantee a month for some Germans. In a privat talk I learned that there are discussions about a basic income guarantee of the minimum wage, that means 8,83€ an hour or 1529,00€ a month. Oh well I said, but if you do that, you have to install incentives that the people do the work that have to be done in the low level wage sector. People can live pretty good with that income so most of them don‘t want to work at all particularly not in unpleasant jobs. Also you have to educate the people in responsible way of living. No society need an increasing rate of kiffers or beer and wine drinking people sitting in their living rooms watching tv with dull brains. But there were no answers.

After one and a half hours I knew only a little more but there is no precise concept. I can‘t imagine something about tomorrow. All I found looks like a take-it-as-it-comes engagement. But this issue needs decisions if I my pension and the future living standard should be ensured. This issue is a relevant factor creating the future of our country.

I ask myself, if the members of parlament are overpaid.

On 12 July 2016 the President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker and the Chinese Prime Minister, Li Keqiang, announced that 2018 will be the EU-China Tourism Year (ECTY). At the opening officials of many institutions and industry were found, like Jenna Qian, Vicepresident of Ctrip, Qiu Yin, Vizepresident of Tencent, Wei Zhihong, EU-Generaldirector of UnionPay, Jacopo Sertoli, President of Welcome Chinese, Barry Lin, Tourism Resources Senior Director of Tuniu, Luca Patanè, Chairman of Uvet and Blu Panorama, Mikko Turtiainen, Global Sales Vice President of Finnair, Torstein Hagen, Chairman of Viking Cruises.

The European Commission is preparing the ECTY in close cooperation with CNTA (China National Tourism Administration). Its main priorities are to:

  • show what the EU has to offer to Chinese visitors by supporting various cooperative marketing campaigns
  • facilitate business summits
  • organise Business to Business matchmaking meetings for tourism operators at the most important fairs

Ultimately the EU-China-Tourism Year should boost the tourism between the two countries. This will also boost the card services on both sides.

Also the Network of European Private Sector in Tourism believes that the ECTY is an opportunity for both China and Europe to boost tourism flows in both ways. Therefore, tourism promotion alone is not sufficient to make this a success. A holistic approach is needed; looking at facilitating travel, improving connectivity, addressing the specific needs of group tourism, fostering cultural understanding though training and tutorials, help building partnerships between European and Chinese tourism enterprises, overcoming language barriers, etc.

To strengthen the presence on wuropean market UnionPay starts a cooperation with Concardis GmbH, a german financial service company.

China is the world’s largest travel market in terms of both outbound travel and expenditure. According to ETC, European destinations have welcomed 10,1 million Chinese visitors in 2015, accounting for a share of 13% of all outbound travel from China. At the same time, Europe has sent 4.9 million visitors China, accounting for 19% of the total foreign visitors. In 2016 122 million Chinese travel to abroad destinations, 20% of the global tourism. Higher income and less bureaucracy will invite the middle class to travel abroad. The european tourism industry strengthen it‘s efforts to make the destinations more comfortable for the Chinese tourists.

The standards in financial transaction networks of Serbia, Belarus and Tadschikistan will be build or modernised with UnionPay-standards. More than 10 countries, among them Albania, Bulgaria and Tansania asked UnionPay to help them building a money transfer network in their country.

CUP and UPI are part of Peoples Bank of China, the state owned Chinese Bank. Both companies are not listed at a stock exchange until now.

German parlament election: CDU wins, AfD third place

In Germany election on sunday the 24th of September 2017 the right wing surge. CDU wins, has the most votes, but it‘s bavarian sisterparty has the worst result since 1949. For the bavarian leader CSU the ballot is very interesting because in 2018 is the election for bavarian state parlament. SPD leadership told yesterday that SPD has a worst performance in the ballot, with 20,5%, and will be opposition leader. This will be a very responsible work because the third strongest party is now AfD with 12.8%. If SPD would not take the opposition leadership AfD would be the leader of the opposition. The people vote for AfD because AfD made rule of law an issue of it’s programm and because they are afraid of terrorists. Also the people wants that Germany should stay a Germany with German morals. This morning the AfD leader Frauke Petry has left the press conference of AfD sayng that she will not be part of the  fraktion in parlament. She will take seat in parlament but as a independent member of parlament. Then she left the press conference or AfD. Mr Gauland, AfD, was very astonished and exculpates the behavior of Ms. Frauke Petry before the press. FDP get 10,7% and is with AfD new in Bundestag, the German Parlament. The left party, die Linke, got 9,2% and the Green Party, die Grünen, got 8,9%

The composition of the German Parlament, Bundestag, after the election is:

CDU has 246 seats

SPD has 153 seats

AfD has 94 seats

FDP has 80 seats

the Left Party has 69 seats

There are 709 seats in german parlament, so no party can regain alone or with a two party coalition. This will be a very difficult situation for the negotiations to built a coalition of three rulingt parties in Germany to built a stable government. The last legislature period SPD aned CDU regains in a two party coalition Germany but SPD said that it had made a god work in the last legislature period but the people don‘t honor. The result in the last election is too bad to start a new coalition with CDU. Now there is the so called Jamaica coalition in discussion, a three party coaloition with CDU, FDP and the Green Party in government.
